Hi, my name is Peter and I’m a software developer in London. Welcome to my blog!

I’m writing this blogging engine in Django, so expect to see posts on python, django, ruby and rails, with an odd smattering of non-code related topics. (I’ll keep 'em to a minimum!)

At the moment this blog is fairly rudimentary, but I’m going to be adding features as I go.

Here’s what works:

• I can post entries!
• Search is powered by solr (based on lucene) and works quite nicely
• RSS feed of posts is working

And here’s what doesn’t work (yet):

• Ability to post comments. I know, it’s pretty critical for a blog. Coming soon ;-)
• Create an account, change password, upload avatar. All on the list, right after comments.
• Oh, yeah, and the site design is in flux – hope to get some style guidance from my brother soon. Nudge nudge!
