Microsoft use a Macbook Pro in the new Songsmith advert

If you haven’t seen the earbleed-inducing advert for Microsoft Songsmith then go watch it here. It’s kinda worth it in a fucked-up “thank god my family isn’t this deranged” kind of way.

The best part, however, is the glaringly-obvious Macbook Pro that Lisa uses to demonstrate the software. I mean, am I taking crazy pills?

So what is this – an insider prank at MSHQ? Or maybe they’re trying to upstage the Ableton Live usability team? Who knows.

Admittedly, if anyone actually has Songsmith installed on their Windows VM … can I have a go? :-)

Fuck me – earbleed-inducing doesn’t even begin to describe the horrendous crud being extolled as “music” emanating from the father-daughter-team of “tone deaf” and “whiny”.

Health warning next time man – for god’s sake!
